Video Production Company in Lahore: How to Choose
Choosing a video production company in Lahore comes down to four checks: work in your category that you can watch in full, a crew that will actually be on your set, a written quote that lists every deliverable, and clear answers on who owns the footage and the music. Get those four right and most of the risk is gone.
The hard part is that almost every studio in the city looks the same online. The same drone shot, the same slow motion coffee pour, the same "full service" label. This guide is how to see past the showreel and pick the team that fits your brand, your budget and the way you will actually use the videos.
Why the search results will not choose for you
Search "video production company lahore" and most of the first page is directories. They are a fine place to build a shortlist, but they rank listings, not results. Some pages call themselves a top ten and list four firms, several of which are web or marketing agencies that do video on the side. Rates shown are often based on a handful of profiles. Use directories for names, then do your own checking.
Step 1: Decide what kind of video you need
"Video production" covers very different jobs, and studios in Lahore tend to be strong in one or two of them:
- TVCs and brand films. Scripted, larger crews, often talent and locations. Built for TV, cinema and YouTube.
- Product films. The product is the star: furniture, cosmetics, food, footwear, gadgets. Lighting and styling matter more than drama.
- Social reels and ad creative. Vertical, fast, made in sets. Volume and variety beat polish here.
- Corporate and event video. Interviews, conferences, factory tours. Reliability matters most.
Write down which of these you need and where the video will live. A studio that is brilliant at weddings or events may not know how to light a walnut sideboard or a lipstick bullet, and the reverse is just as true.
Step 2: Watch the work properly
A showreel is everyone's best ten seconds, cut to music. Ask instead for two or three complete pieces in your category, and watch them start to finish on a phone, because that is where your customers will see them.
Look for:
- Light and colour. Do skin tones, wood grain and fabric look true, or flat and orange?
- Product detail. Are there clean close ups that explain what the product is made of?
- The first two seconds. Would you stop scrolling?
- Sound. Clean voice, licensed music, no hiss.
- Live links. Ask where the film ran. A film on a brand's real page or ad account is worth more than one that exists only in a reel.
Also ask whether a piece was made for a paying client. Spec films, made by a studio to show what it can do, are normal and useful, but they should be labelled as such. We label our own spec work on our site for exactly this reason.
Step 3: Ask about the crew and the process
In many studios the person who pitches is not the person who directs. Ask:
- Who will direct the shoot, and who will be the camera operator and gaffer on the day?
- Who writes the concept and script, and when do we approve it?
- Is the camera, lighting and grip kit owned or rented for the day? Either is fine, but it affects cost and backup.
- Who handles locations, permissions, props, styling and talent?
- Who edits, colours and mixes sound, and is that done in house?
A good company will walk you through concept, planning, shoot day and post production without being asked. If the plan jumps straight from "we will come and shoot" to "you get the video", the planning is happening in your budget on the day.
Step 4: Read the quote line by line
There is no single price for video in Lahore, and any page that gives you one without knowing your brief is guessing. Cost moves with shoot days, number of setups and locations, crew size, talent, styling, animation and how many versions you need. Our guide to product video production cost breaks those drivers down in detail.
What matters when comparing quotes is that they are comparable. A written quote should list:
- The main film, its length, and every cutdown with its aspect ratio (9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9).
- Stills, if any, and how many final edited images.
- Rounds of revisions included, and what counts as a change of brief.
- Shoot days and what an overtime hour or an extra day costs.
- Currency (PKR or USD), the advance, and when the balance is due.
Two quotes that differ a lot usually describe two different jobs. Ask each studio to quote the same list of deliverables and the gap often shrinks.
Step 5: Settle music, rights and files before the shoot
This is the part most businesses discover after launch, when an ad gets muted or a video gets pulled.
- Music. Is the track licensed for paid ads on Meta and YouTube, or only for organic posts? Who holds the licence?
- Talent. Have models signed a release that covers ads, and for how long?
- Footage. Do you receive the raw footage, or only the final exports? Can you reuse clips next season?
- Project files. If you change agencies, can someone else open and recut the edit?
Get the answers in writing. Paying for a video and owning it are not automatically the same thing.
Step 6: Check how they plan for social and ads
Most brand video in Pakistan now ends up on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Meta ads, not on TV. Ask how the company plans a shoot so one day feeds a month of posts and several ad variations. A team that thinks in hooks, formats and test variations will save you more money than a better camera. If this is new to you, read how we approach content shoot planning and how to brief a product video before you speak to anyone.
Red flags and green flags
Red flags:
- A fixed package price before they have asked what the video is for.
- Only showreels, no full pieces you can watch.
- No written list of deliverables, revisions or rights.
- "We will figure it out on set."
Green flags:
- They ask about your audience, your channels and your ads before they talk about cameras.
- They send a shot list or treatment before the shoot day.
- They tell you plainly what they are not the right team for.
Reel nahi, poora kaam dikhao.
Where Vibescape fits
We are a video production company in Lahore, with our production studio in Model Town and a studio in Business Bay, Dubai. Our strongest categories are furniture and interiors, beauty and wellness, food and footwear, from brand films to product films and social reels. Editing, colour and sound are finished by our sister post production studio, Vesa, so the team that plans the shoot also sees it through to the last export. Because we also run Meta and Google ads and build Shopify stores, we plan every shoot around where the video will actually work.
See what we make on our video production page, or tell us what you need to film and we will send a written plan and quote with every deliverable listed.
